There are strong rumours that the ECB will make an announcement that recreational cricket can start again which is good news all round. We currently do not know what format/style this will be played in yet, but it seems likely that it will perhaps be reduced numbers and games.

The KCVL have said that the league season will not commence and the season (as we probably knew) is consigned to the history books. For those wanting some competitive cricket they have suggested a cup competition to be conducted, probably initially on a local basis (depending on entrants). We would like to enter a team but this depends largely on you guys and whether you want to take part and play.

With that being said we need you to contact your skippers either way, whether you would like to play or not. This is really important that you help us with this so we know what the appetite for playing is like.

If the KCVL cup competition doesn't come off then we will be looking to arrange friendlies (or maybe a Darenth Valley style cup if we can). Sunday friendlies will also remain as booked.

Ladies cricket is also something we are keen to ensure continues. If you would like some training and/or matches then please contact Jess who will in turn speak with the committee to arrange.

In terms of junior cricket we would like to introduce some form of coaching sessions back, but again this depends on numbers. We can only do this as groups of 5 with 1 coach and this would take a lot of organising and commitment from coaches (lots of them!). If the juniors are interested in coaching session then please let us know as well so we can try and bring you some cricket. It may be worth talking together as parents to arrange small groups of those keen. We would obviously put everything in place to ensure everyone's safety.
